Certification Approach

We offer a flexible certification process that is tailored to the needs of our customers. The main certification options are Self Certification or Externally Assessed Certification but using our online workspace we can combine both of these approaches to create an assessment solution that fits in with your organisation.

The certification process is essentially an evaluation of implemented systems against the standards to ensure compliance. To accomplish this we need evidence of the systems and the successful implementation of these systems and we will use a number of different means to help establish the criteria has been met.

Our certification is a thorough process put in place by qualified auditors but with iso assured certification we have made a number of improvements to try and create a more beneficial and customer focussed approach.

Certification with Consultancy

If you feel you need additional assistance with developing your systems and meeting the standards we can arrange for a qualified consultant to visit your premises and work with you directly. To arrange for a consultant firstly register for certification and we will be in touch to arrange a consultancy package.

Online Assistance - helping to prevent your business going offline

Our assessment process takes advantage of online resources to create a flexible and interactive certification process. Once you register with us you will have access to your own work area where you and your assessor can communicate, upload files, complete online tests and upload relevant evidence. This approach allows you to work on this at times convenient to yourself and your business.

Evidence gathering;

In order to assess systems for compliance we employ a number of different means of evidence gathering. With an external assessment visit our assessor will compile and collate all the necessary evidence but with self-assessment we aim to use the best combination of the following;

Systems Documentation

We will review the quality management system and documented procedures you have prepared. Files can be uploaded to your client workspace where our assessors will review and comment on the content.

Audit checklists

We will provide you with checklists covering all the requirements for meeting the standards you have applied for as well as detailing any relevant regulatory or legal requirements.

Interviews

Your assessor may need to ask you questions about how your different processes work to get a better understanding of your systems. This can be done using your own private discussion forum, emails, during a consultancy visit or during pre-arranged telephone interviews.

Online tests

As part of the assessment process we may request that your representative take part in an online test to assist with evaluation of knowledge and systems in place.

Self Certification

This option allows you to fully audit and assess your own systems.

There is still a requirement for one of our assessors to review and check evidence you provide and we may provide additional checklists that need to be completed. These checklists will be specifically prepared for your organisation and will take into account any regulatory or legislative requirements.

This approach is suitable for organisations where there are systems in place and work is completed by representatives who understand the certification standard(s).

With this option documentation and evidence is uploaded to your project workspace for assessment. An assessor will then review the evidence and let you know if there any gaps or additional information required. The additional evidence may then be requested in the form of additional written procedures or informally.

External Assessment

With this option we arrange for one of our qualified assessors to visit your organisation and complete and assessment.

As we are not UKAS registered our assessors are able to consult and advise you to help ensure systems are working correctly and help you achieve certification. UKAS guidelines prohibit assessors from providing any form of consultancy.
